The Privacy Promise
derëalhouse — a DERËAL world
The promise in one breath
We collect the least we can. We guard what we hold. We never sell you. That is the whole promise — the rest of this page is just the details.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address. To create your account, to prove the account is really yours, and to let you back in when you are locked out. Nothing else.
- Your birthday. Because your birthday is how the world knows your space. You do not pick your space — it was yours from birth. Without a birthday, there is no derëalhouse.
- What you choose to put on your profile. Your name, your picture, a line about you, and links to your other places on the internet — only the ones you choose to add.
- What you choose to post. The signals and words you share inside the world, because a world with nothing in it is not a world.
That is the list. If it is not on this list, we do not collect it.
What we never do
- We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to partners, not to anyone. Ever. Citizens are not the product.
- No ad tracking. No company follows you around this world, and nobody follows you out of it on our behalf. There are no ads watching you here.
- No activity log. We do not keep a diary of what you did, where you clicked, or how long you stayed. Less data is safer data — the founder's rule from day one.
- Your session dies on its own. Stay quiet for 5 minutes and you are fully signed out, automatically. Nobody picks up a session you left open — not a stranger, not us.
- Your birthday is not a billboard. Your exact birthday is how your space is found — it is never sold, never shared with partners, and never handed to another citizen by us.
How we guard what we hold
- Passwords are stored only scrambled — we could not read yours if we wanted to.
- Accounts are locked to their owner. Nobody can read, change, or delete your profile but you.
- Sign-in is protected: verification steps, codes that expire, and lockouts when someone keeps guessing wrong.
- The world keeps its own spare copy of itself on a rhythm, so one bad day can never erase the citizens.
Your rights — your world is yours
- See it. Everything we hold about you, you can see.
- Take it. You can export your world — your profile, your keepsake, your posts — and carry it with you.
- Delete it. You can delete your account and your data. When you say gone, it is gone, except the small pieces the law makes us keep for a short time (and we will tell you plainly which ones, if any).
- Ask us. A human answers privacy questions. In plain words.
Children and the age line
derëalhouse is 18+. You must be 18 years old or older to hold an account.
Adults only means no parental-consent machinery, no grey zones, no special handling for minors' data — because there is no minors' data.
The world already asks your birthday to assign your space; the same birthday checks the entry. Under 18, the entry does not open yet — said kindly and plainly at sign-up, never as a trick or a silent failure.
Where this promise lives
derëalhouse operates from Ontario, Canada. This promise is written to respect Canadian privacy law, and the rights of citizens who visit from elsewhere. This promise is posted inside the world, in this same plain language — not buried, not translated into lawyer.
